Tears Under the Sun

Tears Under The Sun

Her tears glowed under the rays of the sun
like diamonds sparkling in the light
they made a pool within her eyes
like melting snow in a frozen pond

They slowly fell into the earth
like drops of glittering little stars
that light up the sky in a moonless night
tears shed from her broken heart

Her tears will soon be washed away
lifted to the skies by the warmth of the sun
like footprints lost in the crashing waves
that were left in the banks of the shifting sand

Love the thought of footprints being lost in the waves ... very descriptive write. ;)
