Tears That Flame

Don't mistake the tears you see, Somehow for falling rain, As every one drops from my cheek, And turns into the same... The ones that never wipe away, Or make it to the floor, Leaves a different scar in place, Just like the ones before... So even if the wind is blown, They never seem to dry, Burning everything that's shown, As fire in my eyes... Whatever doesn't melt away, Will puddle at my feet, So I can watch it all decay, And perish from the heat... So when the pain you left me, Is consumed within the rain, The phoenix that you set free, Will arise without the blame...
