Tears On the Wind
The wind, it blew the thought of you,
And it's blowing farther yet--
The love we knew, was sadly through,
But I needed to forget.
Tears on the wind, like wintertime,
Did beat upon my door--
But cleansed the grief and brought relief
Till my troubles were no more.
For years I cried; sometimes inside
With depression as a friend--
No dignity; no sense of pride,
Till my crying reached an end.
Then finally the weather changed
As the wind swept swiftly by--
And so my life was rearranged,
And since I rarely cry.
For the wind blew as the springtime,
A most welcome sight to see--
My poems found again their rhyme
Just as I serenity.
Since then I've found my precious smile,
And the view's no longer bleak--
For our tears are prayers to heaven...
When we're just too sad, to speak!
