Tears On the Wind

The wind, it blew the thought of you, And it's blowing farther yet-- The love we knew, was sadly through, But I needed to forget. Tears on the wind, like wintertime, Did beat upon my door-- But cleansed the grief and brought relief Till my troubles were no more. For years I cried; sometimes inside With depression as a friend-- No dignity; no sense of pride, Till my crying reached an end. Then finally the weather changed As the wind swept swiftly by-- And so my life was rearranged, And since I rarely cry. For the wind blew as the springtime, A most welcome sight to see-- My poems found again their rhyme Just as I serenity. Since then I've found my precious smile, And the view's no longer bleak-- For our tears are prayers to heaven... When we're just too sad, to speak! I guess so. I still have my sad days--don't we all, but through the veil of clouds, I recall there is a sun!

Thank you Julie. Good to hear from you. This one did have a happy ending, but others don't. Guess it depends on the day, or theme. Poets! What can you do lol

This is sad and melodious at the same time. I love how everything turns fine at the end. As the wind blows away our sadness, bring a refreshing feeling, a new hope, a new horizon. Lovely poem. Great Pen.

Hi Mel, I just thought I would stop by to peruse your work today. Loved the energy, imagery and impeccable flow I felt in this one. I don't mind the melancholic emotions that exudes from your pen because I have written quite a number of them well. A lilting air of romance, well crafted! Regards..
