Tears of the Moon
A poem for Earth Day.
She weeps every night
I hear her
I see her
She cries right through the night.
Her sorrow makes me sad
And in the morning, when I think upon the awful night She had,
I weep along
with the Moon.
She wails for the oceans, and all it's inhabitants
because they are dying from all the pollutants.
She bawls for the sky
Marred by the sickly purple smoke, billowing high.
But mostly She
cries for the trees and the flowers -
cries, that there is nothing in Her power
to save their lives.
Out comes the sun,
and still the Moon cries on.
Save the Earth. If not for it, then for yourself. Because in the end, it's still going to be around; we won't.
