Tears of My Past

In the night of times I recall
My youth filled with dread and hopelessness
The world seemed so unrealistic and small

On the television we see disney movies of miracles
Then we step outside our doors and I am labeled a criminal

What crime have I commited to be labeled as such.
I have feeling I did not create the liqour stores that shower our communities.
I did not create the guns that desecrate the minds and hearts of our youth truly.

Imagine you were born as me
Inhereted a world you did not create, but forced to see.
Imagine all your life you were told you were not worthy.
Imagine all your accomplishments were praised as if it were something special.
Imagine if the police harassed you
Imagine if you had to read your books on the floor so you do not be struck by a stray bullet.
Imagine if you were called negative words by all people around the world.
Imagine if you wanted to scream from the agony but can't

It's so easy for you to judge and make comments, becuase you don't have to experience that.
For those that do, my heart and soul cries out for you.

Humanity is one
Earth is one

With all that you imagined, lets imagine creating a place of peace and love as one.
