Tears of Love

By Gilbert Mapengo Mwanguku

Hey! My ebony princess
The destiny of my heart
The path of my flowing passion of love
 Engulfed in flames of hope
I felt tall like sapitwa
But I was just a little bird
Flapping my wings at a highest point above
You sang I danced
Lyrics with patches and scratches
Oh yes! I was blind
Letting you prey and play in my circles
But I would be a fool to fool you
I blame my arrogance and ignorance
For trying to hatch eggs I did not lay
My love left dangling
With agape souls of desire
Reminiscing your fatal smiles, the first impression
As I shed these tears of love
