TEARS OF HAPPINESS

They know not
That for years
I’ve been holding back
These tears.

Through the dark
I kept pushing
For I saw a light
Beyond the shadows, a respite.

Now my river flows
Endlessly, my face aglow
As those years of toil
Bear fruits worth the spoil.

My endless tears
Are not of pains
But a testimony
To my abundant gains.
