Tears of Dew

The mother tree sends out roots that produce "daughters" in a "fairy circle."  These "daughters" live on and produce more trees even when the "mother tree" is gone.

Tears of Dew

redwood titans reach for coastal dewy teardrops
clear crystalline pearls decorate their feathery boughs
roots entwine saving dews for parched summers
mother tree lives through daughter's fairy circle

What really stayed with me, though, is the last line. “mother tree lives through daughter’s fairy circle.” That’s where it deepens there something almost druidic yet grounded in the real biology of roots entwining, saving, sustaining. Keep listening to the trees, Sam. They seem to be talking to you.
