Tears of Despair

i listen as each rain drop settles on my face
easing my mind to a comforting place
i feel the water rolling down my skin
and here is where my sorrow begins

i part my lips and try to form words
but no sound escapes, nothing is heard
except for my tears of despair

my tears join the trails of rain
so soft, so pale, yet so plain
here i stand tortured again

weary expressions and burning eyes
while standing in the rain
i bow my head as i silently cry
memories are flashing through my head
i just want everything i know about you to be dead

my eyes full of pain
you stare in them, my story you gain
going deep down inside
now theres nothing i can hide

im running out of lies to say
i cant take another day
why do these feelings still stay
why havent you completely faded away
the memories i cant slay

another tear treads down my cheek
i have no words, i cannot speak
