Tears of Black and Blue

Why do you lie just to keep them alive Tell me why you are always so blue Where do you hide when nobody hears you You don't need to protect anymore He's gone away for what he had done And now you are in a safer place No-one can hurt you now If I was there i could have protected you But is it too late to say I'm sorry Can you hear my pleas up in heaven Can god hear me to bring you back Do you still hear the sound of the rifle Everytime I hear the thunder I think of you The way it rumbles and echoes in the distance Like a gunfire shooting off by my ears Tell me you can hear my voice I can still hear yours You were too young to say goodbye And I was too young to recognize the black and blue
