Tears of a Beloved Memory
Never the same,
Never,
Life,
As I have known it,
Has forever been changed,
By that simple,
Solemn,
Modest,
Presence,
That is you-
The beating
Inside my chest
Goes for miles
Enough miles to stretch,
Our separation
Lust exchanged
Though the only thing I lust for,
Is that which beats inside yours,
My strength is disarmed-
By your spirit
And I have no complaints,
Not a single one,
For by my side you will be,
Always in my head-
And my body-
Aching for that gentle touch,
The near tacit singing,
The softly pressed kisses,
Beside me,
Your spirit,
Will rest,
In my head at least,
My hand migrates down to my thigh,
Where your hand was once placed
I cry.
