Tears Like Diamonds

The diamond glitters Like tears on my cheek. The promise made Was not to keep. The band that meant Forever yours Means nothing now With closing of doors. Nothing left But a broken heart. No longer one, Now torn apart. The diamond glitters On my hand. Tears now fall On a wedding band.

Francine, you have captured the essence of the Dear John syndrome in this sad poem. Good writing. Thanks for your kind comments on my tax poem. I had fun with it. I'm trying to post a poem about Dandelions, but it failed twice and I don't know why. Any ideas?
