Tears In the Rain

Tears in the rain

This lonely heart of mine
Has forever lived upon my sleeve
As a commentary to my life
As I watched the precious ones leave

Building walls to protect me
With my blood on every brick
Rarely venturing beyond them
For the fear....
Of the path that I may pick

When I’m standing in the darkness
Struggling with the pain
I watch my blackened tears
Disappear, into the rain

Hi Alexander, It's a very heartfelt and moving poem. reads like a note to diary of a bruised heart; going to extremes to protect yourself. (understandably so). A winter of heartbreak if you will. But as you know after winter comes Spring! May it be colourful, blissful with the bloom of new beginnings
