Tears In the Rain
I’ve cried for you every day
Each night, as the darkness creeps
A veil then covers my face
The silence that lingers
And I, alone, sit with my tears
And memories, drunk, in misery
As I listen to only a heartbeat,
Wondering, if I will be here
Another hour, another day
At times, the rain falls
Cruelly, against the window pane,
Bringing with it a rush of tears
A pain, unbearable to the soul
And I remember all that is gone
And I remember, that I am here.
