Tears For a Child

It’s tough to be a parent To a child who tries to cope With the hand that was dealt When her life is a soap. When illness fills days With depression and pain And she struggles each day To keep herself sane When money is wanting And bills need be paid And there’re two steps back For the one she has made. When things seem to brighten And dark clouds disappear And the other shoe drops And so does the cheer. One does what one can To lighten her days and Put a smile on her face When the happiness frays.

Thank you very much. I do worry sometimes about her life when I am gone. I am 92, although in reasonably good health. But she is stronger than she thinks she is.

Barbara, beautiful and written with motherly compassion and love, my mom (RIP) was always there to help me, when I lost her I was like a lost balloon floating in the sky, but she taught me to be strong in spirit and so I am ~ Constance
