Tears and Roses
Is this what we had in mind?
My heart thumps with no clue.
A dark past that comes to light
Like thorns on roses and
tears from blind sights, we grope,
feeling the walls of emotions, and hope
for directions to make sense of it all
Tears and roses
We broke our hearts into bits on love's hard floor
But down here, we still live, Picking red roses, wishing
for the truth that'll never come.
