Tears
If tears could be measured in quantity,
If tears could be weighed,
If tears could be drinking water,
A lot would go to waste.
If tears had colours,
Then I’ve already cried a rainbow.
If tears were words,
It’ll take forever to read.
I don’t know if I’m a stupid fool,
But I’ve cried enough
To fill an entire pool.
My emotions are shredded rags,
The feeling of abandonment
Is all that resides.
Emptiness is lurking.
And all that’s pushing:
The tears from my eyes.
Just leaving me more emptier than before.
And all that commotion?
Just because I dare
To love and care.
