Tearless Memories

You reached for a cloud
on a sunny day
with no rain on the way

with clinched fists and fear
you feel no pain

Hearts sing in silence
grief without sound
and tearless memories
fill the empty wells
of our souls

Prayers rise up
and fall to an empty God
abandoned by the living
and reached for by the dead.

For my dear friend who took her own life this week, one year ago.

Abandoned by the living and reached for by the dead.I'm sure through her worst part of life, she found him..She found light.Maybe we can learn from her...And from this poem..God shouldn't be abandoned by the living..when all that we live for..He gave it to us..Sorry for the sad memory..I'm sure it's not a sad one anymore in heaven.
