Teardrop

Every teardrop have a weight to it
Sad or joy...they roll out
ever so soundless but ever so heavy
to my heart they are
They don't come free fall on their own
With reasons they escape their safety
Sad or joy...they free fall and down
they go to nothingness...forever gone
Only to leaving streaks of wetness
to remind their ever so temporary
existence in hoping for you to notice
they were ever so meaningful teardrops
So please don't go playing with my heart
for every teardrop that streak down
heavily hurt more than you know

        Smile

So much meaning; your beautiful words hold weight just as your teardrops Akkina.

I am a firm believer that crying cleanses the soul. I was always told never to hold mine back because there is no shame in letting everything held back out. <3 bravo

Hello Kina, A very moving and quite meaningful free verse here on "Teardrop." Tears are all part of one's life, whether they be for happiness or sadness. They are what make all of us "human." Excellent Work!! Cheers and Best, Gary

We have all experienced tears. Jack Kerouac wrote that "it all ends in tears, anyway". Nice write! Peace & Love Matthew Anish

Unfortunately we must all suffer through the bad which helps enjoy the good. I must confess, if you weren't already married, I would play with your heart and all of the rest of you, too:)

Such a sad but truthful poem Akkina. It is true, each tear we cry has it's own story, either sadness of happiness. The happy ones are great, the sad ones not so much,
