Teardrop

I sipped on a teardrop and landed
myself in a terrible spot.
The tear had fallen from my husband.
I realised I had been caught.
Red handed in my liaison
with my much younger man.

I said it was a mid life crisis.
That I was lonely home alone.
He turned to me dejected.
He said he felt rejected.
Packed a bag and then departed.
Left me broken hearted.

He met and married another.
I never did recover.
Now it is my own tears.
Stemming from my own fears.
Will I never love again?
I'm done with men!

Every decision has consequences. I'm sorry you ended up brokenhearted. A poem of life for lots of people to relate to.

My husband did break my heart Daniel...literally. From the emotional abuse I suffered at his hands for 23 years.

Truth be told, the younger man did not appear until a year after I showed the husband the door Daniel.
