Tear the Ticket and Take the Trip
Tear the ticket and take the trip...
Something good and golden starts losing its grip
Sucking in smoke now your lungs start to lurch
Shock to your soul still you stay on the search
Undressing and unraveling...too real and too raw
Flirting with fire fools get burned
Fight for the fix...just another hit
Tear the ticket and take the trip
Roller coaster riding...valley lows and mountain highs
Once soaring with eagles into the big blue sky
Now scavenging with vultures...slowly you die
More only multiplies and takes your heart and your head
Stuck in a system of subtraction...now you're better off dead
You used to live in Gods love
You used to live in Gods light
Now you're burned out like a bulb struggling to stay lit
Tear the ticket and take the trip
That thin ice cracks...walls you built are crumbling fast
That train into tomorrow gets derailed off the tracks
No turning back on this nightmare into nothingness.
Turning the screws and twisting the seconds
Slaves don't dream about freedom...they only want to be masters
Doom and disaster...they surround you like a shell
What started as Heaven soon became Hell
You flipped the coin of consequence as it lands on its side
Now you fall into forever...in Perditions pit
Tear the ticket and take the trip
