Tear On My Pillow

The sky is almost open with just a small trickle of light... I'm lying awake and its raining on my pillow tonight... My eyes won't close as my thoughts start to race... This reflection has changed with more lines on my face... I'm turned around, but my vision is still in tact... Thoughts never put to ears, for I stayed in the back.... Letters I wrote with words I shouldn't have shared.... All the things I pushed away and never knowing I cared... So now I sculptor poems that tell of a four sided heart... Of how you live with love and never miss your mark... I now close my eyes in peace because there's nothing to show... And tomorrow I'll sleep with no more rain on my pillow....

the title of this piece is what pulled me in at first, i was intrigued. now i have read it and am still mystified by it. it was very powerful in a quiet way. my favorite line was "so now i sculptor poems that tell of a four sided heart" it was an amazing line is all i can say. excellent write as ever my friend! --Madison

Hi Michael I thought this was quite beautiful. I loved the way it read and the subtelty of emotions wrapped inside it.And the title leading through your words to those last two lines-as I said quite beautiful. luv June(sylvia)

wow! Michael, your spell bounding words are captured perfect in this poem. A little sad to go through all them deep thoughts. But, like you said at the end, tomorrow I'll sleep with no more rain on my pillow. Men are always the tough ones. I really did enjoyed the ending. take care,..p.d.
