Tear

A single drop of tear from your eyes
Shines like a diamond on the satin cheek so white
More valuable than any prize
That single tear on that cheek so white
As it meets ruby lips so sweet
And hang from the edge with its brilliant sheen
Many a heart misses their beat
When it hangs from the edge with its brilliant sheen
Down it rests on those pearly hands
Innocently winking begging to be felt
Incomparable to any in sky or land
This innocently winking tear begging to be felt
So many a questions raised by this tear
A journey travelled a journey over
Much of cheer and much of despair
As the journey is travelled and now over

Dedicated to my daughter

Dear Tahera, this is so beautiful! How lucky your daughter is to have a parent who sees her this way and knows that there is so mucy life before her. The tears will fall throughout this journey, but with you in her life, she will also know great love! Best wishes for success in the contest, dear friend. Love, Carolyn
