Teach Me To Live

Teach me to live
Reach out for my hand
I have so much to learn
And understand.
Teach me to love
Teach me to be
Show me the world
So wonderful and free.
Teach me to see
To feel
To hear
To not be afraid
To cast away fear.
Teach me to live
Give all I can give
Show me the way
And teach me to live.

James Dotzler June 4, 2020 at 5:26 PM Hi Julia, I really enjoyed the flow of the poem. Especially "Teach me...teach me...show me...2X and then ending with the opening "Teach me to live." I felt it could be a parent to a child. I also work with special need students, and it could be an overlooked child yearning for what their typical peers experience. Wonderful :)
