Teach Me
Teach me how to trust You Lord,
With all my heart and soul.
Teach me not to lean upon,
Just that which I behold.
Teach me not to turn away,
From what I know is right.
Give me wisdom common sense,
Help me to see The Light.
Let me strive to please You,
In each and every way;
That I'll not be found wanting,
When I face the coming day.
Teach me not to be afraid,
Of what the enemy can do.
Teach me to fear alone, Your Wrath,
To fear Lord, losing You.
Give me strength and courage,
To run a steady race.
Teach me to have a loyal heart,
To live within Your Grace.
Lord I've been a failure,
A failure all my life.
I've disappointed those I love.
My sins, My Lord are rife.
Teach me to turn away from sin,
From temptation's pull;
that I may hold my head up high,
And not look like a fool.
Let temptation have no pow'r.
Let sin no longer own me.
Teach me to reclaim my soul.
Let sin not steal it from me.
Teach me to live within Your Grace,
To walk within Your Light.
That You will say,"Well Done, My Child".,
When I come into Your sight.
