At Sunday school Don’t break the rules Sabbath ends on Saturday Church is out Devils sprout In play grounds children stray Void of God A new Dollar Lord They learn the prayers of hate Emotional bullets Shatter innocent hearts Sad days of school shootings

Those second and third stanzas say it all: The decline of the Church and the ascent of the dollar--a devastating environment for children and the families trying (or not trying) to raise them with values. Nicely done, Arturo! :) gw

Children do what they see. Learning happens through the keyhole of experience. Creating a positive environment around the child will help in their overall development. Superb write. When it comes to children,I easily connect. This one’s in my fave list now. :)

T O U C H E D me to the core. Very well versed, Arturo. So sad for families today to deal with this. I agree with Eve, most of the time children learn violence from their parents and the way they react to violence.

Very powerful words, Arturo, it is not right for our children to live in fear. Grown-ups teach not realizing they are teaching their children how to hate, belittle, and how to settle a fear... So they protect themselves the best they know how.
