Teach a Man To Fish

Teach a Man to Fish

Vancouver drug users have them a find
A vending machine that dispenses their kind
For twenty-five cents they can get them a pipe
For crack or cocaine, a disposable type
The Drug Users Resource Center, to cut down on theft
Sells them at cost till there’s none of them left
Now the DURC as they’re commonly known
Wants to “co-op” a booze making machine for the home
They think if you’re making your own beer and wine
You won’t then be tempted to commit a theft crime
Now, I’m all in favor of helping the down
But you don’t throw a man water when he’s trying to drown
