Tea Time Dreams

Little girls dressed up in pinks, creams, yellows
and blues...donning mothers’ laced hats
Baby blankets covering tightly held sleeping dolls...
Chit chattering grown-up things...
Jelly cakes and strawberries dipped in chocolate
Saturday afternoon warmed by ‘wanna-be ladies’
imitating ’Tea Time’ dreams

Radiant bride dressed up in white...‘something old,
something new’
Chit chattering girlish things...’something borrowed,
something blue’
Lavishly spread table...wedding cake and strawberries
dipped in chocolate
Saturday afternoon warmed by Lady’s ‘dreams come true’.
