The painting is called "Tea Party"

By: Eve Roper  2014

My dauther in-law  modeled for the painting.

Tea Party Bright early morning Courtyard opens to the clear blue unclouded sky Mourning dove with their cheerful cooing Lush, crisp, green, grassy, lawn, Garden flourishes with yellow daffodils, pink lilies, and budding pink roses Latticework lavish entanglement of sweet fragrant jasmine My angelic little girl sits on the settee in the pavilion full of pillows and a blue blanket in case it gets cold wearing my long string pearls with her ruffle white lace dress Mama, papa, and baby teddy bears, sit all around her A tea party she entertains serving tea, cake, and cookies Everyone invited With tenderness, giving a drink of tea to her favorite teddy May I observe my little girl sitting on the settee in the pavilion A beholding sight 2/4/2015

So charming and endearing ... what a glorious picture this paints, and takes me back to my little ones, dressed up in their Sunday best to entertain dolls and animals ... and to get an invite? Well, that was indeed special, as is this wonderful write. Superb, and congrats on your win! :-) <3

Eva, your words match the lush image of the little girl at tea! Quite delicious! Yes, as we grow older, our thoughts often turn to former days, the things we did or should not have done. I wrote this poem some years ago after I had walked the beach not far from where I lived. This poem was the result. Thank you for the stop. / M

This is so sweet Eve. When a child is without siblings they can be very creative with their imaginations. I was secretly viewing my little granddaughter, Carissa today while I was watching her while my daughter was at work. She was holding up her little hand size Cinderella and Rapunzel dolls close to the stickers of their images on our sliding glass door, saying, 'how do you like the way you look'? I began laughing and she kept on playing. These kind of memories last forever. This poem's great!

Thank you,Connie, for your compliment. The memories that were made with my grandmother are the ones I remember, always loving on me. Children always remember the good times, they learn from experience: from what happens around them, from what they see, hear, smell, taste and touch. Blessings dear friend Eve
