Tea On the Brain

I love nice Southern Sweet Iced Tea,
     in a glass or cup!
I try to sip it slowly
and try hard not to gulp!
The crushed ice bobbing gently,
     against my tea stained teeth,
makes it all the better,
when a hotdog I can eat!

I'm sipping now while sitting here
     in front of my PC,
and if you're getting thirsty,
you may soon be joining me!
Get out that little teapot.
     Boil water on the stove.
And steep those family teabags,
     cut lemons from the grove!

Then use that sugar freely,
to get the taste you like!
The tea will be delicious,
To me, it's worth the hike!

Hi Marty this poem caught my eye today because I am an avid tea drinker and I can go through a gallon a day, so this was a nice refeshing treat to read because it had me smiling and laughing all at the same time,Thank you for your visit and for your thoughts that you shared on my link.I honestly believe with faith that mountains can be shaken, and new paths can be made to uplift us from our deepest sorrows.Have a fantastic weekend,Dean

It's early morning here. Coffee for me but later in the day or evening then tea is fine with me. Excellent writing Martin. Love, Carol
