Tea

...for my fellow Englishmen (and women!)

Lanky penicillin,
beverage extraordinaire!
warms you when you're chillin',
just relaxin' in your chair.

In times of tribulation
when you cannot see the light,
choose the tried and true libation
'cos a brew will set you right!

The healing virtues of this potion
must not be misconstrued,
it's every Lanky's notion
that a cuppa'll fix your mood!

Note: A 'Lanky' is a person from Lancashire,
         ...a northwest English county.

OUCH..I think the leprachauns are out and about in here today.:( I didn't let me post more than two comments.:) This write will be "a cuppa" to those who read it. It feels smooth and "warms" the insides. "Tea" will certainly be shared and appreciated by your readers.:) Best to you, Keith!! Love, Mikki

Yup, I love my tea. My Mom's side were Wentworths from up around York. A Wentworth marreid the Capt. of the Mayflower, yup, just an English Lass at heart. Light & Love

Keith, stay beautiful, man. Thanks for the education about the place, dig the words. Love you when you drop in on me, the crutches are well measured and cool.

well done Keith, such an apt description of the cuppa. Being Irish, we share your sentiments totally, never without our favourite brew. Regards Déirdre
