Tchotchke

Early morning thud...
the bedroom door opens wide...
ginger cat scampers
frightened by the sudden sound 
of an overturned tchotchke

Hi, Deb. A tchotchke is a small, inexpensive trinket or ornament or souvenir. My wife and I got a new kitten last fall and she has become notorious for knocking over a number of items since we got her, including tchotchkes!!!
