Taxidermist

~Taxidermist~ Dear little blue bird sitting on the mat Please don’t poop on it because it isn’t tat. That’s it, sit on the bird bath there on the rim You look a fine little chap sitting there so trim. I am a taxidermist and I am after a blue tit Why don’t you jump on my hand so I can see, and you can have a little sit? My collection lacks a bird; we could perhaps make a date It’s a pity you are alone I could do with your little mate You would fill the place nicely it’s a pity you are not red But I can soon paint you up as I am a taxidermist- I think I said.
no offense to real taxidermists out there I know you do not do this xx Competition Entry: For Catie Lindsey comp: Word Games. © 1/06/2012 ~GG~

What a fun poem. I was just thinking that Thanksgiving is probably a taxidermist favorite holiday if he loves his work. And it's a day he can stuff himself as well. Loved your poem.

I'm still here, Mandy, just a few days to go. Like this, reminds me of a taxidermist in New Zealand, he was always stuffing owls, my favourite bird, put me off them taxidermist it did. anyhow i digress back to your wonderful poem. I like the way you have wrote this, one can imagine anything that lands within their space is fair game, fair game wow did i just say that. will be in touch, harry

hahaha. you always put a smile on my face. CLEVER and cute poem. And mandy, I hit the damn Big one six years ago. It really is true what they say about over the hill. I have never had so many problems in my whole life as I have had after 50.
