Taunting the God of War

Hello August, Summers lonely lover
sitting in your chair on the edge of Autumn like a child scorned, pouting
how hard you are , God of War
How fiery your light burns , scorching us, even as it slowly dims
Nevertheless Earth will still turn, becoming the softness you swallowed once more
I want to be a stone in your field, watching the green grain grow into gold
Ill gather the sun and hold it in my belly keeping it out of your hands
To satisfy my restlessness and tease your terrible temperament
