Old Worn-out Tattered hat Misshapened, ripped. Though it's loved, it will not last forever. At sixty, I am much like that good hat. Torn up too soon. Tattered now Worn-out Old 19 August 2017 For Broken Wings Form T Poetry Contest

Anita, there are times when we all wake up just like that. I know I do. Then, I sit up and thank God for another day. I may be old but He still has not done with me yet. He keeps me in wonderment. God Bless. D.

Yes--I like this goodly little poem also! :) Although it purports to illustrate a certain despondency it actually has an underlying, and rather comforting, familiarity associated with it all. Very well penned, Anita! My best regards. :) john
