Hello Gershon ... God only knows how lucky we are to live where we are and be able to voice our opinions with relative freedom. It is almost impossible to alter cultural way of life going back thousands of years perhaps - sad indeed Gershon - Lindsay

It is sad that our soldiers spent twenty years teaching them how to protect their own country and they threw down their guns and ran off. I think this is the saddest part of all.

I understand Gershon on the face of it, the current situation looks and is bad, but US drone capabilities are becoming more reliable and forensically accurate, really is the only way, other than reinvading, I mean what is the alternative, nice writing, cheers David

The problem I have is that the original objective was not fully reached. I.e., Afghanistan is still a safe haven for the worst world's Islamic terrorists!

The initial situation was over a long time ago, but the current boondoggle is not. Watch for Joe to eat his hat and be right back in there sooner rather than later. It's not 'over' because 'we' declare it to be over. (Didn't work for Bush either, did it?) ~ Gershon
