Tantalyzing Thanksgiving

Tantalizing Thanksgiving Acrostic T- Tantalizing turkey, such an aroma! H- Happiness plus harmony are the flowers in bloom, on our table. A- Appreciating the Almighty is always number one! N- Nourishment and Nirvana dance at our table. K-Kindness and keeness in sharing our life stories.      S- Sentimentality and Sharing are the lace, that graces our table. G- Gratitude and gravy are our yearly, magical thrill. I- Immersed are we in family inspiration. V- Viewpoints and visions spoken with frenetic verve. I- Indulgence, yes and sprinkled with much inspiration. N- Nonchalance and nature marry on this day when we thank God for our freedoms and Democracy. G- Gratitude and God~ the world's       most potent combination!      We look forward to this day                    With heartfelt appreciation. Best wishes for health and happiness, dearest Robert! I so admire the depth of your work and the much needed works of the Masters. I would invite you to partake of our celebrations that day. You are a poetic lighthouse to this freshman of a Poet. Thank you. Best of health and happiness to you. Panagiota x

Ok. Whatever floats your boat. Our family and others hardly commercialize this day. As in the UK, I respect each of you as individuals. I do not label you as all sheep. One does not have to have Christmas as a commercial day.It has much historical and religious background. I spent years being the Grinch and Grouch about Christmas. My fault. Panagiota x

Tantalising indeed my friend.. I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving Day on the 28th... We alas, have no such equivalent here in the UK for this time of year, nor a day that has such resonance as your poem and what it's celebration portrays... That said.. this is a wonderful write which paints a vivid picture of family, friends, freedom and thanks for all that we have and for all we can give to each other.. Best Wishes.. DAMO x

What a gift you are to be back, DAMO! Sorry to hear, no such thing in the UK. Also for your long reply. Rare, here. I tend to reply long. Sometimes short. It's each individual's choice. Some collect replies like dead butterflies.I wrote a poem on replies lately. Alas, we here in the USA are like spoiled children. We have much and we complain. Well then, why not leave? Because I guess, more fun to complain? We also make special efforts to feed the homeless here and honor the National Guard. Many will cook for hundreds that day foregoing the family event. This poem took at least two hours. It's a long cry from a Footie or a Haiku. I was wasted upon completion.Keep on writing! With encouragement, Panagiota.x Soupmail.
