The untended plant
withers away, leaf by leaf ~
a time of indifference.

Why do we falter,
poised at the divine altar,
blaming it on gravity?

It is simply easier for humans to remain in 'darkness,' to use ignorance as an excuse for their spiritual inactivity... in whatever sense that may be for them. This is one to make you read twice.

Yes, we can remain in stupor, hypnotised by the external or we can liberate ourselves by befriending vibrancy of silence ~ the choice is ours.

The poem short yet profound reflecting human tendency to avoid taking responsibility for one's actions or inactions leading to negative consequences.Nice to share.
