Talking To Myself

I'm talking to myself Lord there's no one else around. 
I'm talking to myself Lord Just to hear the sound
I'm talking to myself Lord there's no one here but me. 
I'm talking to myself Lord as lonely as can be. 

Talking to myself is something I can do. 
Talking to myself Lord helps me make it through.
Talking to myself Lord not as bad as it may sound
Talking to myself Lord when there's no one else around. 

Getting old ain't easy but someday you'll be there. 
That's when you'll start talking when no one else is there. 
It chases away the loneliness and things that you might lack. 
You're always right, never wrong, and nobody's talking back.

I agree that old age is the culprit. Living a healthy life style is as much to blame. I am blessed with good health but having said that all my close friends who were not blessed with good health have passed on and leaving me to talk to myself and I miss the noble art of conversation as much as I miss my friends.

There are moments in life when we feel so miserable with a pinching sense of loneliness. Usually it happens with the onset of old age when we have nothing serious to do while others are away busy at places of work. The desire to talk to someone is a strong urge in us. Then talk to yourself, thinking there is God always ready to listen to us. This thought alleviates our sense of loneliness !I can feel the pain. A touching poem..... dear friend
