Yep, and it appears that it was all for nothing because the Afghani forces we trained dropped their weapons and gave up without even a fight! So sad.

I would like nothing better than that, Tony, but I'm afraid they haven't stood up to the test, from what I'm reading in the news.

That is so true, Tom, and there is almost nothing that can be done to stop it now. Now the blaming starts... unfortunately. But, the War in Afghanistan thoroughly defeated the Russians, and perhaps we'll get out without such dire consequences for our country. I'm sick of blaming, though! We did what we could, and it simply wasn't enough.
