    in the ESL lab where
the great mass of immigrants
     need help because they are
new to our shores

And when I see them I am reminded
of the Led Zeppelin song "The Immigrants Song"
which helped develop my consciousness
Lo, these many years ago

My wife's family moved here from Hong Kong in 1967 and with humble jobs put their kids through University and paid for their home. They worked long hours and did whatever needed to be done to help the family prosper. In Asia Canada means "mountain of Gold".
