Taking the Letters From These Pages

The fingers of the sun touched my bed
Breezes from the songs of little birds
I fought like a Spartan my eyes are red
Read like Athenian for my future bread

Witty rhyme, Jeanne. Nothing like the sun and birdsong to wake us up from a deep slumber! Ah, but its so much more comfortable to burrow deeper under the sheets during early morn! Love your write. HUgs and smiles!
