Taking Strides
Black hidden deep within a forest
A focal point leading outward
Strides that repeat friction brings heat
A heart filled with hope inspires the beat
Atmosphere with hoofs intense
Trampling over the reasons to avoid
Existence stark to compare
Through the traffic of daily noise
Minds that race to the pace
Shredding through the trees
Movement over obstacles
Left or right into the mist
Where the darkness may be kept
Courage to trample branches with no fear
To break clear of the path set in the way
As night does fall a horse ran away
Where will it be when the forest becomes day?
