Taking Joy

One can take joy as eyes
glow and sparkle
One can take joy
in smiles for no reason
Wish I could throw a bolt of
love
At the residents of this city,
this city, this state, this country, this world
      Life is a privilege
      together we can partake
          of the banquet
As stars come out at night
and the summer draws slowly to a close
Let us taste the sweet wine
of love, of sex, of nature, of joy
As you enjoy
    the fruits of life
touch the reality
you may have missed
in your younger, more hasty days
