Taking a Stand
Wake up, wake up and look at the facts,
We are funding the terrorists and setting up ourselves for their attacks.
In 1999 a barrel of crude oil sold for less than twelve dollars a barrel and that’s the truth,
In less than ten years it skyrocketed to over one hundred and twelve dollars, now
that’s uncouth.
We are supplying the ends to our on being,
We are being wrecked financially is what I’m seeing.
Our financial system is starting to collapse from the strain,
Look at all the foreclosures across the country, use your brain.
OPEC is having their way with us and where are our leaders, don’t they care?
They need to stop this madness that is so unfair!!!
They have us where they want us but they keep hollering for more,
We are the ones that set them up, and I think it’s time we even the score.
We are going to have to suck it up, and bite the bullet,
What ever the measurements we can get through it.
Ride the bus, share a ride, whatever it takes do it in stride,
I may be down but I’m an American and I’ve still got my pride.
We are acting like sheep being led to the slaughter,
It,s time we start taking back what is ours, for every mother, son, and daughter.
Let it be known that you have had about enough,
If push comes to shove we are Americans and still can get tough!
