Taken From Myself
Thief
With stealth and deception
your skilled hands plucked the
heart from my chest
Into my mind you poured
a world that I
wanted and needed to exist
From the marrow of my soul
you sucked out my sense of self
With your severe tounge
you hacked away my purpose and drive
I existed
no longer within myself
but within you
Taken advantage of
Cheated
Used
You never gave a damn
and now it's my turn
So yes
Be in pain
Mourn me as I have mourned myself
the self you set aflame
with the heat of your bitterness
And be shocked
Be amazed
FEEL something for once
feel it in the very seat of your soul
Know that I do not care
That the idea of anguish
on your part puts a smile to the lips
that you so desperately miss
I too could wild this power
and have you crawl to me through broken glass
Make your spirit bleed
and your blood pour
But this is where you and I differ
Where the divine still resides
in my sublime flesh
That I still
through it all
Know that I
am no man's God
I have reclaimed what is mine
stolen back
that which you stole
And removed the blindfold
so that now
I can see
