Taken By The Night

I was but a mere girl lost in the woods terrified by what lies beyond the branches.

I was also so found of nature of life itself of life and death anything that connected to nature was the essence of my being.

I woke up one day to a mystic call a creature of the night and a creature of the damned.

It’s fur was black as night its skull as white as snow.

Its teeth as sharp as arrowheads and as jagged as jagged rocks.

I found myself in fear of me knowing there was no where to go.

The minute I turned upon my heel I heard an awful screech one so horrid and putrid it sounds like a woman or man’s scream.

It seemed to dislike the fact I ran with all my might i heard the screams getting closer and it made my blood run hot it made me want to never look back because if I did I would have some awful thoughts.

As soon as I ran inside the cave I realize there was no way out it was like a maze.

The beast was blocking the entrance which meant there was no way out and no way for me to be saved.

The beast was tall it had claws sharper than knives it smelt of decay and spoiled blood it made me sick to my stomach.

I slowly backed up against the wall it stood over me a little over twelve feet tall.

I closed my eyes and prayed and prayed but all that was left of my voice was a gasp it had me in its wretched grasp.

I opened my eyes to meet the last thing I would see and the next thing I know it was smiling at me.

“you’ve met your maker I’m sure this is of no surprise..that I’m actually a Wendigo out of disguise..you have no clue how long I’ve waited..for someone like you to come for the taking”

It leaned it close it’s breath red hot against my ear and all it said was 

“keep your eyes closed for this is the last thing you will hear.”

I closed my eyes and soon the lights went dark I felt my skin getting ripped apart by greed and sooner rather then later I craved human meat.

Trapped and terrified is what I remain. 

A monster a creature no one to be saved.
