Taken Breath

I never knew how much you cared, 'till you screamed, and I got scared. I ran out, into the street, there was a car, beside of me while i stood crying over you. You kissed me, and I kissed you, I knew what was coming, but I hoped not true, and with your final breath you said, "remember me when I am dead."
