Take Time To Make a Change

Take time to inhale the colors of the breeze
Dancing beneath the layers of poison fumes
We are all just trivial fractions of time
Leaving a significant mark among the masses

Take time to infuse the sounds of the environment
Before they are muffled by the shrieks of progress
On a planet designed for change
But not prepared for the virus called humanity

Take time to quiet your senses
and drench your soul with the wonder of silence
Learn to rekindle the magic once shared
Amid childhood fantasies and the effortless beauty of the earth

Take time to dream of repair and restoration
Without losing yourself to the realism of the rigid process
The fear of what may happen is only stifled
By the cold reality of what is already taking place

Take time to decide where you choose to stand
Beneath the smoking pipes of industry
Blends the sour smell of greed and tranquil indifference
As embers of righteous change smolders at its feet

Take time to persuade those who cannot see
How beauty is now mangled with dirty expressions
As it conveys many torrid years of neglect and cruelty
Begging for freedom from the blindness of man

Take time to make a change
