reminds me of life's paths

which way do i go

but i hear it
whisper over the rocks
i look at the trees
with upturned roots
it's hard to believe

and all fell down

when the sky cried
not so long ago
the birds sign in harmony
little locusts chime in
with back-up vocals
as the butterflies
dance gracefully
atop wild flowers
yet no one sees
